8U Program
8U Program
WHO: Any child that lives within the North Branch School District or attends North Branch Schools and is between the ages of 6-8
WHAT: Travel softball within the metro area ran through the Centennial League. The Centennial League offers two types of teams at their 8U age level: Advanced and Regular. Advanced is kid pitch and geared towards those players that already have some softball skills while the regular league accommodates those that are first time softball players or fairly new to the game
WHERE: This is dependent on the schedule that is released by the league but most games are played in the North Metro
WHEN: League games typically start end of April and conclude on Father's Day weekend
WHY: To provide a fun outlet for young softball players to learn the game
COST: Each season we evaluate costs so that we can keep them low for families. Last season the cost was $125 which included a jersey, socks and sweatshirt for each player.
COACHES: Our 8U program is run entirely off of volunteer coaches. We do not require our coaches to have previous fastpitch experience but we do ask that they complete all the necessary background checks etc.
